We've all gone through shit. And i'm not here to talk about what i've gone through or how bad it was. But i'm here to talk about how things are going to get better again. One simple rule, may change everything. Not giving up. Once you've decided to give up, you know for sure you'll never get what you've been hanging onto so long for. It applies the same way to the quote "If you don't ask, the answer's always no". But of course, not giving up is merely the main point, not the whole point. In times of troubles, one can't forget also the rule about not being a slave to your emotions. We control our emotions, not the other way round. We shouldn't let our emotions affect how we act and think.

Simply, one way of controlling our emotions, are controlling our thoughts. Isn't it strange how humans like thinking about the past and memories despite them knowing that its going to end up hurting them? There are people who can't control their emotions, but i believe God gave every single human the ability to filter their thoughts. And to further break it down, filtering one's thoughts are easier done by questioning the thoughts before they develop. There is a premature stage of every thought, where we suddenly think of a topic to focus our thoughts on. This stage isn't the one that hurts us. It is the stage in which we think deeply into things and relive the past that hurts us. So at the premature stage, question yourself, is this really going to make you happy? Chuck it aside if its not.

Last but not least, one thing that's linked to not giving up, is making the decision onto what you aren't giving up on, as well as how people interpret the 3 words, not giving up. Let's take for a simple example, a rejection. Yes you are in deep shit because you are hurt due to someone rejecting you, you have feelings for the person, but you are too hurt to do anything about it. See how not giving up can be interpreted in more than 1 way here? Not giving up may mean in this case, not giving up on the boy/girl, or by trying to move on and not giving up on that decision. Giving up however, would simply mean staying status quo and just being constantly hurt, while neither moving in on the boy/girl nor moving on. Thus to summarize, not giving up, does not stand for its literal meaning, but is more of not giving up in the decisions you make. To close, is the most important part of the post. How would we know whether the decision we make is correct? And that when we make that decision and stand by it, we would reap good results? For Christians, simply pray about it and seek God for a leading. For others, ask a friend, since its easier to see from a 3rd person pov. Or refer to the previous posts about the mind and the heart. Good luck (:

'Cause sometimes you feel tired, feel weak, and when you feel weak, you feel like you wanna just give up. But you gotta search within you, you gotta find that inner strength and just pull that shit out of you and get that motivation to not give up
and not be a quitter, no matter how bad you wanna just fall flat on your face and collapse. - Eminem, Till I Collapse
