Firstly, a happy new year to everyone. Next, to xy bao and nq, this is my first blog post for the year :P
Well anyway, hoping everyone's having a pleasant start to the new year. Leave the past behind and start anew, at least let this new start be a motivation for you to pull yourself together if you've wasted last year being a pussy over nothing. And while we're in the midst of celebrating and enjoying ourselves, let us not forget those who are unable to join us on this memorable day. Let us not forget those who are stripped the opportunity to see this year. Bring your attention to the video played above, its an audio track actually; and pray for those who have lost their lives, not specifically in 2010, but also those who have went before and do not have the privilege to enjoy what we are enjoying at this moment in time.
As we walk on in this new year, as we live each passing day, let us all remember the contributions of those who have walked before us. Let us always remember that the world has and is losing good people each day. And let that always remind us, that if given any time and opportunity, those people would be using it to do good. They will be using the time to make contributions to the society, to make change; a difference. Its a new start, maybe its time for us to stop taking things for granted. Stop living each day as if we are entitled to the next. And for those pussies who can't seem to pick themselves up, who continues to live in denial, thinking they are alright, happy and strong, this post isn't for you, but I hope it serves as a reminder, for God's sake, stop wasting your days away. Start living your days as if its your last. Cherish each moment, grab onto every opportunity to do good, and maybe its time to wake up your idea and stop wasting your life away.
Being put on this earth, one thing i learnt through these years is excelling in how the society wants us to isn't important. For people my age, i'm still puzzled over why people out there are putting their grades before people around them. Why do people get to selfish over their personal gains when its gonna boil down to nothing at the end of the day? When we walk out of this earth, how much do grades matter anymore? Life isn't about how well you do in your maths and sciences. Life is about encountering as many obstacles as you can, learning from them, and growing as time passes. It's about maturing, knowing that emotions are temporary. It's about being strong, and enjoying each moment.
